The Christ of the Good Death or Christ of Mena are the advocations of Christ that arise from an original crucified Christ carving of Pedro de Mena dated approximately in 1660, and that was preserved in the Church of Santo Domingo in Malaga until its destruction.
The image of the Blessed Christ of Mena, as we know it today, was sculpted in 1941 by Francisco Palma Burgos, inspired by the original image of Pedro de Mena. It is located in the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán de Málaga.
It belongs to the Congregation of Mena and processes Holy Thursday during Holy Week in Malaga. Linked to the Spanish Legion since 1928, from 1960 onwards, each Legion quartering had an image of this invocation, so there are other similar sizes. Wikypedia
